I have heard of people burrowing back with a Pi but I have not done this myself. Which is fine they aren’t switching a live event, but using this to monitor/direct a remote shoot.Īlexlindsay wrote:We have typically used a VPN (for us a Meraki MX) to control all of our hardware (including the ATEM) directly (with computers on the far end). It’ll be as if they are in the room, just with some delay in the switch. That’s the theory… anyone done this before?Īnd if you’re wondering… I will simultaneously publish the multiview and the program from the ATEM to two private youtube live videos so they can monitor that remotely. I suspect that setting up port forwarding to the IP that my ATEM is on will allow me to give that IP:port number to the controller they put that as the IP address in their ATEM software and that should give them control of my ATEM. I have a need to allow control of my ATEM remotely (as in, from another state). I have not tried this yet theoretically I believe this will work, but not being a network expert, before I waste hours banging my head against a router trying to make something work that won’t, I wanted to ask the hive mind.
